How it all started
Eric Mathura, creator and Founder of Boardgains started the game by using a simple white board to change his training classes up. The game grew from there to become the Official Fitness Board Game which is now being launched worldwide. Our Story
Boardgains SA started when I was browsing social media and stumbled on Eric's original posts on his Boardgains Facebook page. I was immediately sold on the idea and really bought into the concept of playing a game to keep fit. I purchased the "board" initially hoping to buy it for my husband for Christmas. I then found out that I was buying into Eric's Kickstarter which was created to help fund his business concept and manufacturing. I was super excited to hear that I would be one of the only people to receive the Boardgains game in South Africa and started the conversation with Eric about partnering with him to bring the game to our Country.
Boardgains officially arrived in Canada In July 2021 and distribution to USA and Canada started immediately. The South African distribution took place in August 2021 and I was overjoyed to receive my delivery. We are now Boardgains SA (Pty) Ltd with Eric as our business partner and we hope to bring Boardgains to every school, gym and fitness family in the Country.
